About Me

I'm PhD student in the School of Computing at the University of Utah. I work in the Utah Learning Lab for Manipulation Autonomy (LL4MA) and am advised by Dr. Tucker Hermans. My research focuses on autonomous learning of environments and objects, and big picture decision making for robots and autonomous agents. I am also interested in memory and common sense reasoning.

I studied Computer Science at Brigham Young University from 2013 to 2019. I did research there in automated handwriting recognition and document analysis. This involved deep learning in computer vision and natural language processing (NLP). I also briefly worked on NLP at FamilySearch before starting my PhD at the University of Utah.
